Of Adler and Signing-In: Da7e and Muse Correct...
Yarrrr! This also be posted at AllThingsFanGirl.com for the ladies. Yar. (Pirate impression).
Back at NYU, Georgina and Dan have been hooking up, Scott’s secret is coming to the forefront and we actually get to see Jenny Humphry this week, which is nice…but has nothing to do with NYU. This episode is the first that involves actually living in the NYU dorms and hanging out around campus, even if...
It’s been three years since I’ve blogged about Melanie. Might as well cave and do it again.

Thrash and Nate have formed a guitar/mandolin band called Greensleeves. They mostly play “Greensleeves.”
The debut gig was at Nates-Birthday-Slash-Housewarming party last Saturday. Turns out “Greensleeves” is a lengthy and repetitive song, so I cut in some other footage of the cake and the people around the cake.
Due to my drinking, I only shot video when I was around the...

Forget It, Roman - It's ChrisHansenTown
Outside of my friend David’s continued “stylistic choice” of not capitalizing things, his Roman Polanski post is close to EXACTLY what I would have written. His version is probably better, because I would have delved into Wanted and Desired more.
theecstatictruth:
so master filmmaker roman polanski once did a very bad thing. 8 years after his beloved (and pregnant) wife was...

What NYU Is That? Da7e & Muse Correct Gossip Girl
[If you don’t know who Da7e is, you shouldn’t be here… I mean: Welcome! If you are wondering who Muse is, you should check out All Things Fan Girl where this post also appears.]
Gossip Girl, a show we’ve been watching since season one because of its fast-paced soap opera plotlines and endless attempts to remain the vanguard of fashion and hip dialogue; mildly bemusing in its...
This is not how accidentally slipping it into the wrong hole works out. But it’s fun to dream and autotune, isn’t it?

My TV Schedule At A Glance
“Dave,” I asked myself this morning, rolling out of bed with record-low 5% Monday morning hangover, “why is your blog so much about politics as of late, what with you writing mostly about movies elsewhere and producing some exciting shit on the side?”
Good, question, me. If there’s one person I can always count on for the hard-hitting questions about me it’s...
Woman Declares Herself 55-Year-Old Virgin in... →
After all my harpings on Right Wing stupidity, it was nice to find a hilarious act of idiocy* from a woman with her heart in the right place: she was trying to ensure continued sex education in schools.
*The idiocy I refer to is staying a virgin for 55 years, though she didn’t get to talk long enough for me to tell if she was pitching abstinence only sex ed. That also would have been...
Yeah, WOLF! Take THAT! Maybe someone should get out of the Situation Room a little more often?
I’m surprised Wolf even left the Situation Room. Though maybe they just built the Jeopardy! stage around him and during commercial breaks he turned to camera two: “Breaking: President Obama calls Kanye West a jackass, providing a humorous distraction from the Czar-fueled nay-say distractions...

We're Gonna Talk About Pirates All Day
Charlie: Oh shit. Look at that door dude. See that door right there? That door marked 'Pirate'? You think a pirate lives in there?
Dennis: I see a door marked 'Private.' Is that the door you're talking about?
Charlie: No, I was talking about . . I didn't say . . what'd you hear?
Dennis: I heard you say you saw a door marked 'Pirate'.
Charlie: No, that's not what I said. Look, are we gonna talk about pirates all day or are we gonna find out what lives in here?

Summation: Why The Health Care Debate Frustrates...
“YOU LIE!” has become the discourse now, and Democrats haven’t been helping the situation by making such a big deal about Rep. Joe Wilson’s very public stupidity.
I’ve been taking my fight against right wing stupidity to Twitter, which lead me quickly to anger and tempted me to make sweeping statements that I’d regret later. Unlike Joe Wilson, my sweeping...

FInally! The last part of my San Francisco Boring Video Blog!
And rather than sum it all up again, here’s the e-mail sent to my family:
THE DEAL: I got a new Flip Ultra HD camera for my birthday AND Rick decided to donate a kidney to my Uncle Jim last week. The whole thing seemed like one of those adventures people might want to know about, so I filmed it. THE VIDEOS: All are in HD unless...

This Is What Socialist Indoctrination Looks Like?
Obama’s speech to school children is up on the White House website HERE. This is what conservatives are so afraid of:
That’s why today, I’m calling on each of you to set your own goals for your education – and to do everything you can to meet them. Your goal can be something as simple as doing all your homework, paying attention in class, or spending time each day reading a book. Maybe...

I’m half-awake and very slightly hungover. It’s not because I drank a lot, it’s because I smoked two cigarettes in a row right as I got of my flight and was waiting for my baggage at La Guardia. I hadn’t eaten much - a danish in LA 7 hours prior and a pulled-pork sandwich in Charlotte 2 hours before - and those two cigarettes stunted my appetite.
But I just wanted them so...

Arrrr! This be Part 3 of my San Francisco video blog.
Part One and Part Two mostly covered my father giving a kidney to my uncle, but the rest of the trip has mostly consisted of healing, napping and hoping that the doctor gave them both travel-ready bills of semi-health.
Not only that, but I’ve reached my limit for free HD uploading to Vimeo, so it’s only normal-rez from here on...
Collected Random Thoughts From The Millenials
I woe up this morning after taking a sleeping pill. Not one of my Mom’s killer sleeping pills, but one of my normal everyday ones that doesn’t mess with your REM sleep.
My phone alarm went off after 7.5 hours of sleep, as I’ve discovered I’m most functional as a human being if I can force myself to get up before I hit that “magic 8 hours.” Whoever said you...

This is the second part of my San Francisco/kidney transplant Boring Video Blog series. The first part is HERE.
This is probably the last part that will be available in full HD, because I don’t have a Vimeo Pro account (if you’d like to buy one for me, let me know).
You can see this installment in HD HERE.
UPDATED! Now this embed is HD!
Upcoming: further recovery, the BSG finale...
